This summer the SLU Libraries' blog Odyssey Online will devote itself to recommending books. A wide variety of titles on a wide variety of subjects amongst which you will hopefully find something you'd like to read in the pleasant summer time. Check out OO for some warm weather reading material...

The Owen D. Young library is proud to announce that Mitchell G. Galli '12 is this year's winner of the 2009 Northern New York Library Network (NNYLN) Student Recognition Award.

St. Lawrence University is currently developing a strategic plan for the management of our digital collections.  A new website has been published to provide the community with information regarding the various projects already underway. 

ODY has now joined the GIS Office in the Science Library and the Newell Center for Arts Technology in offering color poster printing services to SLU students, faculty, and staff.

ODY’s Help Desk Staff and Information Technology’s TecProgram Staff are presenting a series of workshops: Putting Research and Technology in Context.

St. Lawrence University students, faculty, and staff may now use their campus network ID to access the following library services*:

• View your patron record
• Renew materials online
• Request material through ConnectNY
• Off-campus access to library databases (aka Option 2)

*Interlibrary Loan ILLiad accounts remain separate and are not included in this change.  Later the Libraires plan to implement a change that will allow you to use your campus network ID to access your ILLiad account.

After a December hiatis Odyssey Online, the weblog of the SLU Libraries, is back! The blog offers links to information about goings on at the SLU Libraries, as well as information on our research resources, and how to go about researching.

Both ODY Library and the Science Library will be open for extended hours during the Study Recess and Final Exam period.

GIS Day is an international celebration to promote geographic literacy.  We will be celebrating in the Elberty Spatial Analysis Lab with a Cartography Workshop from 12 to 1 pm on Wednesday November 19th.
