During the week of July 26-30 Facilities has planned an electrical outage that will affect Madill Hall and the Science Library.  The Science Library will be closed for the week.  Reference Services will be available via the ODY Library Help Desk x5477. Patrons will be able to request materials from the Science Library's collections by contacting Melissa Burchard via e-mail or by phone x5400. Questions about GIS and GPS services should be directed to Carol Cady via e-mail.

The Friends of the Owen D. Young & Launders Library have started a blog to provide the group and the greater SLU Community with a forum for commenting on and chronicling the University’s intellectual life. 

The ConnectNY service may be unavailable on May 25th and 26th.  Please contact the ODY Help Desk x5477 with questions or concerns.

Both ODY Library and the Science Library will be open for extended hours during the Study Recess and Final Exam period.

During Finals Week the Libraries will be open as follows:

ODY will be open as a study area for 24 hours a day, from Sunday, December 11th through 7:00 pm on Friday, December 16th.

This year the Friends of Owen D. Young and Launders Libraries (FODYLL) will be awarding two prizes for undergraduate student research. DEADLINE: Entries must be received by Theresa O’Reilly, ODY Library,
Room 124, on or before: 1:00 p.m. on May 7th.

For the first time in fifteen years, the St. Lawrence Libraries have increased overdue fines and materials replacement costs.

Join the GIS department as we celebrate GIS Day this Wednesday, November 18th. We will be displaying a map gallery showcasing student and faculty work involving GIS and hosting a Trimble GPS demo.

MacAllaster (24 Hour) Room: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon
This room will be held for "Robing" purposes/and the delegates will be leaving their belonging in the room until after the Inauguration Ceremony.

The stand-up Reception will be held in ODY from approximately 12:15 - 1:45 p.m. There will be five stations set up throughout the Library by Dining Services. They expect around 650 people for this event.

The Green Bikes are available for loan from the Science Library!

The Find@SLU button can make ILL faster! The button serves two purposes, identifying whether we subscribe to a periodical and providing a link to Interlibrary Loan.
