"Make A Difference" in Canton!

Make A Difference Day is a national day set-aside for neighbors to help neighbors. It is an annual event that normally takes place the fourth Saturday of every October.

In partnership with the Canton chapter of the St. Thomas More Newman Center, St. Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, SUNY Canton, and the Canton Schools, the event this year will be held on Fri., Oct. 26 and Sat., Oct. 27

In the past, hundreds of St. Lawrence students have cared enough about their community to:

· help the elderly prepare for the winter by raking lawns, cleaning and putting up storm windows, cleaning and re-organizing garages… and performing a host of other jobs needed by the elderly

· paint public fences and playground equipment

· clear brush and debris from public parks and walkways

· re-gravel school playgrounds
