Off-Campus Access (VPN)

SLU Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a secure remote network that allows students, faculty, and staff to access campus resources remotely.

Connecting to the virtual private network (VPN) adds a level of security by encrypting information exchanged between your computer and the network. This is highly recommended for users connecting to public wi-fi hotspots (airports, coffee shops) and in some cases may be required to access some campus information (video streaming, network drives and some websites) while off campus.

Please note that if your internet service provider (e.g. Time Warner Cable) provides you with a router or wireless router, it must be PPTP enabled. To make sure, please contact your service provider.
