I was a history major and education minor at St. Lawrence. I studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark in the fall of 2008, which was incredible. While abroad I also got to visit other countries including Austria, Hungary, Italy, Turkey, Norway, and Sweden! I was really cool to visit some of the historical locations I had studied, such as the site of the 1956 rebellion in Budapest and Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. I also spent the fall 2009 semester student teaching history in a local high school. This was an amazing experience and I plan to continue on this career path.
I tried to make the most of my time here at St. Lawrence and was very active in my sorority, Chi Omega. I was also highly involved in the SLU chapter of Amnesty International and even got to attend the regional conference in Boston in fall 2009.
