I am a history major with an interest in twentieth-century American history and a newfound interest in Elizabethan England. As a junior I spent a semester in Washington, D.C. studying community organizing and public relations at American University. The diversity of the history department here at St. Lawrence has given me the opportunity to explore many different parts of the world at many different moments in time. Our professors provide an all-encompassing education as they encourage us to look at various fields of study within the department and I am always amazed at how interrelated all aspects of history are. Our experiences and knowledge from other classes and the real world are always incorporated into the learning of history.

As a senior I am currently working on my research project about Atlantic migration and particularly Italian immigration to America at the turn of the 20th century. I am looking forward to a great year and enjoying every moment here at SLU!
