Sometimes In April Film Screening and Discussion

4/13/14 7:00pm to 10:00pm

Join Drs. Wendi Haugh, Matt Carotenuto, and Elun Gabriel for a screening and discussion of the historical drama "Sometimes In April" and a discussion of its place in the remembrance of the tragic events that began 20 years ago this month. The film will be shown from 7:00 to 9:15 and will be followed by a discussion of the Rwandan Genocide led by the professors. If you cannot come to the film but would like to come to the discussion please feel free to do so, and vice versa.

If this is a topic of interest to you, consider enrolling in the related courses taught by professors next fall: Dr. Haugh teaches "Peoples and Cultures of Africa," Dr. Carotenuto teaches "Conflict in Africa" and "Intro to African Studies," Dr. Gabriel teaches "Genocide in the Modern World," and Dr. McKie teaches "African Politics."
