Evening of Remembrance
There's a very special garden where the trees of
memory grow nurtured by the kindness and concern
that good friends show. The roots are cherished
memories of good times in the past, the branches
tender promise that souls endure and last.
It's a place of peace and beauty where bright
new hopes can start its memory's lovely garden
that soothes the hurting heart. Author unknown.
Please join Daniel Hernandez for the Evening
of Remembrance, Friday, November 2, 2007 at 7:00pm. The

Alcohol and Drug Support Group
The
Office of Counseling Services and the St. Lawrence
University Wellness Initiative are in the process of
developing two alcohol and drug related support groups
for the 2006-2007 academic year.
We are in the process of
bringing an Alcoholics' Anonymous (AA) for a Young
People Group to campus. This group will focus on helping
students wanting to abstain from the use of alcohol
and other drugs. This group will be open to all youth
of the Canton area, including students from all four
Associated Colleges. Watch for further information
as to the day of the week and the time this group will
meet.
The second group will be
focused on helping students who want to better control
their alcohol and drug use, but who are not at the
point of wanting to abstain from all use. This group
will help students investigate why they use alcohol
and other drugs, investigate other alternatives and
offer support as they work to reduce their use. This
group will be open to students from all four Associated
Colleges and will be held weekly during the academic
year, day and time will be announced after the Fall
2006 semester begins.
For more information on the substance
abuse groups please contact Jennifer French at 229-5391
