Climate Change: We're All in It Together

St. Lawrence University’s Second Climate Forum, “Climate Change: We’re All in It Together,” will be held September 25-27, 2012. The Forum, which is sponsored by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, has three primary goals:

1. To educate our community about climate change
2. To educate our community about the climate change disinformation campaign
3. To move St. Lawrence toward carbon neutrality.

Invited speakers include Bill Blakemore, ABC News Correspondent; Michael E. Mann, Associate Professor, Department of Geosciences and Earth and Environmental Systems Institute and Director of the Earth System Science Center at The Pennsylvania State University; Donald A. Brown, Associate Professor of Environmental Ethics, Science, and Law at The Pennsylvania State University; Mel Tyree, Retired U.S. Government Scientist and Professor of Biophysical Plant Ecology at Northwest A&F University in China; Mark LaCroix, Economist with CarbonNeutral; and Stephen Bird, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Clarkson University. Through classroom visits, broad campus addresses, and panel discussions, we hope to evoke thought and action on the subject of climate change across our campus and in the surrounding community.
