Gary Webb ’73 has created an entertainment empire. His band, Nik and the Nice Guys, has performed at the Super Bowl, at countless St. Lawrence weddings, reunions and parties, and virtually everywhere in between.  Nik was formed by a group of hockey players at St. Lawrence.  Among them were Mike Keenan ’72, current head coach of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, and Webb, an economics major who also has his master’s degree from Clarkson University.  

The group re-formed in the 1980s in Rochester as a means for daytime business professionals to become nighttime musicians, raising funds for charity. With continued success, the band has evolved into a full-time professional organization. Nik Entertainment Co. manages over 120 musicians; Gary oversees bookings, talent development, creative direction and strategic planning.
