Gina Kingsbury ’04’s Olympic dreams come true. The former
Saints forward has two Olympic gold medals to her credit, as part of the Canada women's ice hockey teams that won in Torino, Italy, in 2006 and Vancouver, Canada, in 2010.
With a major in psychology, Kingsbury graduated in 2004 as
the Saints' all-time points leader with 152.
In four seasons with the Saints, Kingsbury played in 109 games, scoring
74 goals and picked up 78 assists. She has the second-highest single-season
points (57), goals (26) and assists (31) totals set during her senior
season.
Named a 2004 AHCA All-America, Kingsbury has been a member of the
Canadian National Team since 2001. This will be her first trip to
the Olympics. Kingsbury was centralized for the 2002 Olympics but
did not make the final roster for the Salt Lake City Games.
Kingsbury did successfully compete on the gold-medal teams in 2006 and 2010,
however.
