Model OAS Trip Spring 2024

Seven students in the SLU Model OAS Club traveled with Prof. Shelley McConnell to the Organization of American States

Seven students in the SLU Model OAS Club traveled with Prof. Shelley McConnell to the Organization of American States where they were greeted by Secretary General Luis Almagro and spent four days debating policy with students from 20 universities in the Western Hemisphere. Additionally they visited alum Robert Manogue and colleagues at the US Department of State, and met with diplomats from the Embassy of Belize, the country they represented at this Model, a mock General Assembly of the OAS.
