I chose the major after taking 101 my freshman fall. I really enjoyed the class and decided to take 102 the following spring. What I really enjoy about the major is the flexibility in it. There is a small number of core classes, which allows me and the other majors to be flexible about how we create our schedule. It has allowed me to purse interest in whatever field I wanted. I could pick specific region of the world to focus my concentration on. I could also pick a specific issue whether it be environmental issue or gender studies. The ability to pursue my interest is what sold me and has made my experience as a Global Studies major so exceptional.
