Niparko to present research at national Global Studies conference

Lukasz Niparko '13, a Global Studies major from Poznan, Poland, has been selected to present his original research at the 35th Annual Global Studies Conference at the University of Nebraska in October.  Niparko's paper is titled "China, Through the Prism of the Oppression and Marginalization of the Uyghur Minority" and is based on a project supervised by Dr. Grace Huang, Assistant Professor of Government.  He recently completed a semester on the university's program in Shanghai, China. 

Niparko is also an active member of the Weave, the Global Studies Department's independent journalism project, and GLOCAL, a interdisciplinary journal publishing peer-reviewed student research in the social sciences.
