GS faculty honored at Convocation 2011

Two members of the Global Studies faculty were recently honored at the University's 2011 Convocation ceremony, held at the beginning of each academic year. Dr. Martha Chew Sanchez was honored with the Louis and Frances Maslow Award, given annually to the faculty member who has shown "the most interest in and understanding of the education and welfare of the student body as a whole."  Chew Sanchez is the third Global Studies professor to receive the award, joining her colleagues Dr. Eve Stoddard (1991) and Dr. John Collins (2008).

Also at the Convocation ceremony, Collins was recognized for his recent promotion to the rank of Full Professor.
