Janet Collins, assistant director of development research, graduated from St. Lawrence in 1963 and began doing research in the development office at St. Lawrence in 1989. Prior to that she had taught English in Norwood, NY and Rochester, NY for four years and managed Smith's Department Store in Canton, NY for 12 years. She is a member of the Association for Professional Researchers for Advancement International and secretary of the organization's Upstate New York chapter.
