Mike Archibald has been at St. Lawrence since 1991, as Director of Annual Giving (1991-94), Director of Annual and Special Gifts (1994-97), Director of Major Gifts (1997-2001), Interim Vice President for University Advancement (2001-2002) and Vice President for University Advancement (2002-present). Mike oversees the advancement function including development, alumni and parent programs, university communications and North Country Public Radio. As chief development officer for the University, Mike works with trustees and other leadership supporters on fund-raising initiatives. He serves as the secretary to the board of trustees, and as such is an officer of the University. Mike staffs trustee committees including university advancement, the campaign steering committee, and the committee on trustees. In addition, Mike works with many of the university's supporters in the metro New York and west coast regions.
Mike lives in Canton with his wife, Kathy, and four children (ages 12-17). When the snow finally dissipates in Canton each Spring, Mike enjoys playing tennis and golf, and travels to California and Maine for vacations.
