Stephen Dally '10 has definite goals and plans for his four years at St. Lawrence. A Buffalo, NY, native and a graduate of Canisius High School, Stephen competes for the
men's swimming and diving team as a breaststroker. He also participates in
Male Athletes Against Sexual Violence (MAASV). “I hope to make a difference on campus by heightening sexual violence awareness and educating people about sexual violence,” he says.
His ambitions don't end there. “I'd also like to break a couple records in the pool too,” he says.
Like many others, Stephen has found that at St. Lawrence, he's been able to continue to grow. “I have been shown a different world through my experiences at St. Lawrence,” he says. “
I have learned how to interact with people from all over the world, learn both in and out of the classroom, and I've learned what it means to be a true competitor in the water.”
Stephen knows how valuable his time is at St. Lawrence. “
It's important to give to St. Lawrence in order to give people a chance to succeed,” he says. “Because of the generosity of so many people, I've been afforded the wonderful opportunity to compete for St. Lawrence in the pool, and at the same time, get a great education. I couldn't ask for anything more than that,” says the first holder of the Harold Johnson '51 Scholarship.
