Organizations

An important part of any professional’s life is interacting with other workers in one’s field of study or employment.  This is accomplished primarily through membership in scholarly societies and attending the meetings they host.  Below you will find a list of several organizations that actively seek out and invite student members.  Often the membership dues are modest or greatly reduced for students.  Tangible benefits include reduced registration fees for meetings, journal and newsletter subscriptions, and in some cases, the opportunity to apply for scholarships.  We encourage all our students to join the organizations that best fit their professional goals and are certain it will help advance and guide your career.
