With the high cost of higher education, affordability may be a concern when considering colleges and universities. In order to assist you early in the process, St. Lawrence University offers the opportunity to receive an estimate of your financial aid eligibility for the 2010-2011 academic year.
This service will assess your eligibility for federal, state, and institutional grants, as well as other forms of financial aid. We will calculate an estimated family contribution utilizing the U.S. Department of Education’s financial aid eligibility formula. Finally, we will provide you with an estimated financial aid package for the 2010-2011 academic year at St. Lawrence University.
In order to receive an early estimate, you will need to submit the following:
- the St. Lawrence Early Estimate Form;
- copies of Parent’s 2008 Federal Tax returns and W2s;
- copies of Student’s 2008 Federal Tax return and W2s; and
- high school transcript (including senior year coursework in progress).
The early estimate that we are able to provide you will be based on the information you submit. It is important to be as complete and accurate as possible when completing this form. Please use 2009 projected information by starting with 2008 actual figures and adjusting amounts as needed using 2009 estimates. Incomplete and/or inaccurate information may result in St. Lawrence’s inability to provide you with an accurate financial aid estimate.
