Habitat for Humanity - 50 Park

The Habitat for Humanity
Theme House works in close collaboration with the local HfH affiliate to raise
funds and recruit volunteers for various building projects within the
surrounding community. All house members are required to attend weekly on-campus
club meetings during which students are invited to become involved in
fundraising, awareness-raising and building events. Past events have included
Spaghetti Dinner fundraisers, a World Habitat Day Sleep-Out on the Quad, and
50/50 Raffles at SLU hockey and football games. House members are also required
to earn a minimum of 25 hours of community service per semester, a goal which
is easily and enthusiastically achieved through building, landscaping and
reparation projects with Raquette Valley HfH, volunteering with SLU's Campus
Kitchens Project, and of course the much-anticipated Collegiate Challenge
Spring Break Trip.
