Moving & Surplus Property

How do I handle Moves & Surplus Property?

Due to the large number of requests and the need for scheduling our limited resources, we need to have as much lead time as possible in order to meet the needs of the campus community.  From now on, please use the Work Order/Request System software on the facilities operations web site to request moves and removal of surplus property.  For a set up, please contact dining and conference services.  For surplus property, process a service request asking that surplus items be picked up including the list of items.  Calling or e-mailing any individual in facilities operations will only slow the response time rather than expedite. All requests sent via the web site are forwarded immediately to appropriate personnel.  This ensures fast, efficient handling of all your service requests.

If you are requesting a move of an item from one location to another, use the destination location when selecting Building and Area/Room from the pull down menus.  Using the Area/Room pull-down menu, select the appropriate space designating the location where the service is needed.  You must select an Area/Room in order to have your request processed properly.  If you do not select an Area/Room, your request could be rejected.  If you cannot find the space you need in the Area/Room pull-down menu, please contact facilities operations at extension 5601.
