Writers Series presents - Charlotte Boulay

3/5/15 8:00pm to 10:00pm
Sykes Common

In the Boston Review, Thomas Lynch wrote, “Charlotte Boulay’s poems are infused with a traveler’s sensibility, and rightly so. Born in Boston and educated at St. Lawrence University [Class of 1999], Ms. Boulay had done brief stints as a technical writer and labor organizer before traveling to France and spending a year teaching English in India. Somewhere in that pilgrimage. . . a reverence for language and immersion in it became, to borrow Paul Tillich’s phrase, ‘the overwhelming concern.’” Her first book of poems, Foxes on the Trampoline, is forthcoming from Ecco Press/Harper/Collins, which notes, “The very human issues of want, lack, and desire litter these nature-obsessed pages.”
