Education Faculty Contribute to InfoChange Publication

Dr. Peter Ladd and Kyle Blanchfield, both instructors in the Education Department, had an article published in the November 2016 issue of InfoChange (a publication of the Association of Humanistic Counselors).  The article entitled, "The Role of Emotional Climate in Understanding Violence and Mental Illness," takes a look at how professionals can be more effective in conflict resolution when they understand the role that emotional climate plays in a dispute.  The publication also provides a review of Dr. James Hansen's book, Meaning Systems and Mental Health Culture: Critical Perspectives on Contemporary Counseling and Psychology. (2016). Dr. Hansen who is a Professor of Counseling at Oakland University, is scheduled to give a lecture at St. Lawrence University on Monday, February 20th.  It is free of charge and open to the public.
