To provide support for student success by promoting learner-centered practices
- The LCRC supports student success by promoting learner-centered practices in schools through professional development, professional preparation, and dissemination of research on best practices at conferences and in JPACTe, its online journal.
- Professional development for individuals and groups involved in education is available through the Constructivist Design Conference, in-service activities to enhance school district long- range plans, comprehensive school reform projects, teacher preparation programs, and the like.
Membership in the LCRC is open to any educational organization. The Coordinating Council for the LCRC includes representatives from St. Lawrence University's Department of Education, Niagara University's College of Education, the Jefferson-Lewis-Hamilton-Herkimer-Oneida BOCES, and the Institute for Learning Centered Education.
