Florida State U economist to speak on Mon 4/6 about the impact of gifted education programs.

Monday April 6th at 4:00 p.m. in Hepburn 105, Patrick Ryan Murphy, Department of Economics, Florida State University, will present "The Impact of Gifted Education Programs on Student Achievement."

Accounting lecturer's April Surprise

 

On April 1st Brian Staples had  his car decorated.  Those are post-it notes on the hood, windows, and side of the car. The wheels and antenna are covered in aluminum foil.

It later rained on the car and eventually cemented the decorations with the wind eventually drying them.  After the post-its were removed the glue still stuck to the car. Apparently the glue is extremely difficult to get off.

Maria Pia Paganelli will give a talk titled "Adam Smith and Experimental Economics" on Tuesday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m. in Hepburn Auditorium at St. Lawrence University. The event, part of both the Contemporary Issues Forum and the economics department Visiting Speaker Series in Political Economy, is open to the public, free of charge.

Syracuse University economist to speak on Adam Smith

SLU continues to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the publication of Adam Smith's The Theory of Moral Sentiments with Syracuse University Professor of Economics Jerry Evensky giving a talk called "Adam Smith on Trust, Faith, and the Human Prospect" on Wednesday, February 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Hepburn Hall. The event, part of the Contemporary Issues Forum, is open to the public, free of charge.
