St. Lawrence University seeks an articulate, savvy development professional with superior management, technical, organizational and verbal and written communications skills for the position of Director of Advancement Operations. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Development, the Director of Advancement Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership for gift processing and prospect research, as well as reporting, data management, analytics, predictive modeling and portfolio management.  In collaboration with other members of the division, the director will secure the ongoing success of advancement in its mission to maximize philanthropy for St. Lawrence.

The successful candidate will have technical systems expertise, as well as knowledge and appreciation of philanthropy and fundraising in a higher education environment.  A bachelor’s degree is required, and a minimum of five years related experience.  Experience with alumni and development database systems and reporting required; proficiency with The Raiser’s Edge is a considerable plus.  Knowledge of prospect research best practices and standard research tools, as well as gift processing and accounting standards (IRS, CASE, FASB).
