Funding for Faculty: Opportunities and Strategies

In this session for new faculty, Devon Murphy Stein, Associate Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations, will talk to you about the grant-seeking process at St. Lawrence, beginning with defining and developing your project idea. She will also describe how to utilize the resources of her office to identify appropriate funding agencies, make the grant writing process manageable, and craft a competitive proposal. Time will be spent on standard components of a grant proposal and how winning a grant can advance and distinguish faculty careers.
