New Faculty Orientation August 19 & 20, 2009
This is a two-day orientation program offered in August, prior to the start of classes for all new faculty. Information presented on the first day is intended to familiarize all new faculty with general university services, while the second day focuses primarily on the teaching responsibilities of the new faculty. All new faculty will receive a monthly publication of "The Teaching Professor". Follow-up sessions are held each month in the fall and spring semesters.
May College 2009 - Evaluation
Dear Colleagues,
Thank you for your thoughtful participation in this year's May College Fostering Creative Classrooms and Sustaining a Scholarly Life.
To help us think through May College and CTL planning for next year, we would very much appreciate it if you would take a minute to fill out a few open ended questions. Your answers will remain anonymous and will provide us with really helpful feedback. Thank you in advance for your help and we hope you have a wonderful summer.
Technology Training Series
Throughout the academic year Information Technology offers the Wednesday Workshop and Application: Office Hours series, hosted by the Center for Teaching and Learning. These workshops cover a broad range of topics relevant to technology resources available on campus. Wednesday Workshops are more formal, and Application Office Hours less so, but each session is small, focuses on a specific topic, and allows for ample hands-on experience. Check out the workshop schedule regularly. All sessions (unless otherwise noted) will be held at the Center for Teaching and Learning's (62 Park Street) Technology Training Lab 106 and will be limited to eight participants. Each session will be followed by an optional 30 minute Q&A. The Workshop Series schedule will be updated weekly, check back often for additonal offerings.
