Three St. Lawrence students were among the partcipants in the University of Buffalo's 8th Bi-Annual Minority Student Graduate Awareness Conference: Beyond The Bachelor's Degree, held October 21.

Andy Rampersaud '10, of Bronx, NY; Neema Mawiyoo '07, of Nairobi, Kenya; and Matia Ayers '08, of Canton, NY, were among the 300 students participating in the conference, which provides information regarding the admissions process for graduate school. Aimed especially at students underrepresented in graduate schools, the conference also featured representatives from about 50 institutions at a graduate college fair.

The students all participate in St. Lawrence's CSTEP program, which is a New York State Education Department-funded program of resources and services to promote diversity and academic excellence in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) undergraduate programs.
