PROFESSIONAL SCHOOLS
  The University of Notre Dame sent a bulletin about its graduate programs. 
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is looking to recruit more Native American students and will be hosting a graduate school recruitment weekend on Nov. 5 and 6. 
Indiana University School Masters in Library Sciences and Information Sciences as a dual degree program sent its information. 
  Georgetown University School of Medicine sent information about its Biotechnology Graduate Certificate program. 
Bard Center for Environmental Policy sent a catalog.
The University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs sent a bunch of materials. 
The New York Medical College School of Public Health is hosting an information session on Speech-Language Pathology on October 30. They also sent a flyer about MPH Programs.
Penn State has a Research Training Grant for studies in Biobehavioral Health with healthy stipends attached. 
NYU Law School sent its Magazine.

Text Box: The University of New Hampshire sent a nice invitation to McNair students consider looking at the graduate school there. A booklet has further information.
New School University , Villanova University and Colorado College and the Chicago School of Professional Psychology sent posters and interest cards that will be in the office. 
The University of Delaware sent  information on its Master in Education degree. 
Canisius College sent a trifold on its Deaf Education program. 
Cornell University sent information on its architecture graduate school program. 
Rensselaer Polytech sent information saying its graduate application fee will be waived for McNair Scholars. 
The University of Wisconsin sent information on its geosciences programs. 
INTERNSHIPS
SUNY College of Optometry is advertising its mid-winter internship program with a Dec. 6 deadline. Pre-med students find this program to be helpful.
St. Paul’s School is offering teaching internships in the summer. Stop by and read about the program.

Standard and Poor’s is seeking a Research Assistant. 
Economists Incorporated is seeking a Research Associate Position. 
The National Association of Public Interest Research Groups has a Campus Organizer position. 
There is a Tribal Liaison position for the US Department of the Army and information is available in the office. 
 There is also a wildlife manager job in Oregon for anyone interested. 
SCHOLARSHIPS AND 
 FELLOWSHIPS
The International Radio and Television Society Foundation offers a summer internship next summer and a Minority Career Workshop in April 2005.
The Knowles Science Teaching Foundation is offering a teaching fellowships in science, engineering or mathematics. This looks very good, so stop by and take a look.
2005-2006 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships and Applications are in the McNair/CSTEP Office.

COMPETITIONS

There is a design competition for Native American students in art for a Renewable Energy on Tribal Lands fund.

Albert Einstein College of Medicine is hosting its Annual Minority Student Open House on Sunday, Nov. 14. I need to know by Nov. 2 if any of you intend to attend this event.

 

I received a McNair newsletter from the Southeast Missouri State University and an Upward Bound newsletter from our own Upward Bound Program.
