CSTEP STUDENTS PRESENT PI DAY ACTIVITIES AT CLARKSON

CSTEP extends it appreciation to Christie Corvetti, Cassie Dudar and Lauren Brozowski, as well as CSTEP Associate Rosa Rodriguez who donated their time and expertise to making sure our Pi Day booths were  successful. CSTEP members who also worked the booths that day were Group Leader and student planner for Pi Day Richard Torres, Group Leader Fernando Gomez, and members  Nertila Koni, and Michael Nieves. SLU had booths for making Pi chains, for memorizing digits of Pi, for taking Pi tests, for dramatic interpretations of pages from Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi, and for doing other Pi activities in order to win actual pieces of pie. Members also got to interact with CSTEP alum Sara Morrison who teaches math at Clarkson. Over 300 local school middle school students attended the Pi Day event put on through a coordinated effort among Clarkson, SUNY Potsdam and SLU’s CSTEP and STEP programs.
