Dudley '19 Participates in NYS CSTEP Computational Science Program
Claire Dudley '19, of Cazenovia, N.Y., participated in the 2016 NYS CSTEP Computational Science Program at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) in Upton, N.Y. August 1 through 19. Claire was one of eighteen undergraduate students who participated in the three-week program.
During the program students completed lab assignments and a research project. They learned about parallel processing, 3D graphics, numerical analysis, and simulation and modeling algorithms.
Claire is planning to major in biology and psychology.
The Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) is a New York State program designed for residents who belong to groups historically underrepresented in scientific, technical, health-related, or licensed professions or who are economically disadvantaged, and demonstrate interest in, and potential for, a CSTEP-targeted profession.
