Professor Paul Tiyambe Zeleza of the University of Illinois at Chicago will present the C.L.R. James Lecture, an annual event of the African Studies program. Professor Zeleza is originally from Malawi and has a distinguished career as an historian, including employment in Kenya, Canada and the US.  He will be the President of the African Studies Association (of the US) in the coming year.
