First Year Student Projects: SLU Students will assist the club advisor on activities revolving around characteristics of leadership, how to be a good leader, building confidence, public speaking and how to run a club meeting. Other activities will be a leadership/team building activity at each meeting and assist the students in planning and implementing a fundraising event at the school before the last week of placements.
Upper Level Student Projects: SLU Students will work directly with a small team of middle school students to identify a community/school need, research what it takes to address the need, submit a proposal for how to implement to the school principal, and apply for funding. This is a semester long project working with members of the club. The end result will to get a project approved, funded, and be ready to implement in the next semester. Students wishing to continue with this project, are welcome to enroll in CBL 101 or CBL Independent Study courses offered in the spring.
