Seniors with outstanding balances:
Balance criteria and time line for resolutions:
If payment is not received:
o Balances greater than $500 on the April billing date; there
is no participation in graduation ceremony, no transcripts.
o Balances greater than $100 and less than $500 on the April
billing date; there is no diploma and no transcripts. Students
may participate in the graduation ceremony but they will receive
a diploma case with a note to resolve financial obligation.
o Balances less than $100 on the April billing date; there
are no transcripts. Students can participate in the graduation
ceremony and will receive their diploma.
For students struggling with outstanding balances greater
than $500 on the April billing date:
o If their balance is resolved by 4:00 pm the Wednesday before
graduation, they can get their name in the program, graduate,
participate in commencement and receive their diploma and
transcripts.
o If their balance is resolved after 4:00 pm Wednesday and
by noon on the Friday before Commencement, they can graduate,
participate in Commencement, receive their diploma in their
diploma holder, but they will not have their name in the program
o If their balance is resolved by 9 am on Sunday, they can
graduate, participate in Commencement, but will receive their
diploma case with a note to resolve financial obligation.
Registrar may distribute diploma after ceremony or mail it
out.
o If their balance is not resolved by 9 am on Sunday, the
student cannot participate in the graduation ceremony and
will not graduate.
Other:
o Students who did not complete exit interviews for federal
loans will not receive their diploma.
