Among the top 10 investment experts in the nation and one of the most venerable members of Barron’s Roundtable, Class of 1950 member and graduate of the US Naval Academy Archie MacAllaster is chairman of the New York headquarters of the investment firm MacAllaster, Pitfield, MacKay Company Inc. He was a member of the Board of Trustees from 1977 to 1999, when he was elected to emeritus status, and has actively served on committees including the Campaign Steering Committee and Investment Committee. As a member of the board of directors of the Clark Foundation, he helped St. Lawrence receive grants to establish and support the Clark Foundation Scholarship. The University is profoundly grateful for his philanthropic spirit, making possible campus projects, scholarships and research.
