Planning Ahead - Things to Bring: Tips from Previous First-Year Students

Identification Documents

  • Driver's License or other government-issued photo ID (You will need this identification proof when you check in)

Residence Hall Furnishings

The University provides the basic furnishings for residential living (window drapes and/or shades, a single bed, desk, chair, wastebasket, dresser, and closet space per person) but your predecessors have found that a few additions help them feel at home.   • Twin extra-long sheets (mattresses: 80” long and 36” wide, extra long)

  • Decorations (one or two tapestries or pieces of material per room; any other decorations must be hung so as not to damage walls or paint or create fire hazards)
