Class of 2016 - Thinking About Spring
Dear Members of the Class of 2016,
Fall semester is nearly half over, and it’s already time to think about the spring and the selection of your First-Year Seminar (FYS). FYSs are taught by a single faculty member and are on a wide variety of topics. They continue to develop your college-level communication skills, focusing specifically on research skills. Some might even count for departmental and/or distribution/diversity credit.
You might want to chat with your advisor briefly before you make your final FYS selections. The website will be available to you starting on Monday, October 8th.
You will be placed in your FYS by the end of October, and once you have been notified of your FYS placement, you will then meet with your advisor (between October 29 and November 12, 2012) to discuss the rest of your spring semester schedule and prepare to register for your other courses. APR registration runs for first-year students will begin at noon on Tuesday, November 13th.
