Welcome January Entrants

Welcome to St. Lawrence University!

The New Student Guide & Forms (NSG&F) website is a resource for you during your transition to the St. Lawrence community. Although this site was written with first-year students in mind, we find that this information is helpful to all new students in their transition to the University.

If you have not already done so, please make sure to:

1. Return all of the required forms found on this site as soon as possible, but by no later than the following deadlines.

  • All online forms must be submitted by Thursday, January 2, 2014.
  • All pdf forms must be received by Monday, January 6, 2014. Please note that all health forms must be received prior to your arrival to campus.

2. Log in to your SLU email and check it regularly. All the information you need to log in for the first time is in the Welcome letter mailed to your home address.

Choose your classes for the spring semester. If you have any questions regarding your course schedule or registration please contact your academic advisor, either Dr. Evelyn Jennings, Associate Dean for Academic Advising Programs or Dr. Rebecca Daniels, Associate Dean of the First Year, by e-mail.

If you have been required to enroll in an FYS for Spring 2014, Dr. Rebecca Daniels will be contacting you via your SLU email account with registration information.

Check out the January Orientation schedule for more detailed information on your arrival. The first formal session of your SLU orientation begins at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2014 and we will expect your arrival sometime earlier that day.  Please note: any requests to arrive on campus prior to Friday morning must be approved.  If you need to discuss such a request please contact Residence Life (Res. Life) at (315) 229-5250 or email reslife@stlawu.edu

Contact me with any questions related to your transition or arrival to St. Lawrence. You may email me with questions at mflaherty@stlawu.edu or call me by phone at (315) 229-5757.

Congratulations on your decision to attend St. Lawrence and we look forward to meeting you in January.
