Students interested in a major or minor in Art & Art History must complete coursework in both studio art and art history. AAH 131: Drawing I is the prerequisite for all upper-level studio courses and is open to first year students. AAH 116: Survey of Art History I and AAH 117: Survey of Art II are also open to first-year students. You can take Survey of Art II without taking Survey of Art I. Students must take one of the survey of art courses for the major/minor and as a prerequisite for many upper-level art history courses.

  • AAH 121: Introduction to Studio Art (ARTS)
  • AAH 131: Drawing I
  • AAH/AFS 215: W. African Arts (HU)
  • AAH/ASIA 218: Arts of South Asia (HU)
