Class of 2016 - Thinking About Spring

Dear Members of the Class of 2016,

Fall semester is nearly half over, and it’s already time to think about the spring and the selection of your First-Year Seminar (FYS). FYSs are taught by a single faculty member and are on a wide variety of topics. They continue to develop your college-level communication skills, focusing specifically on research skills. Some might even count for departmental and/or distribution/diversity credit.

Welcome January Entrants

Welcome to St. Lawrence University!

The New Student Guide & Forms (NSG&F) website is a resource for you during your transition to the St. Lawrence community. Although this site was written with first-year students in mind, we find that this information is helpful to all new students in their transition to the University.

If you have not already done so, please make sure to:

Return all of the required forms found on this site as soon as possible, but by no later than the following deadlines.

This form lays out your obligations and responsibilities as a residential member of the St. Lawrence Community. It must be printed out, filled out and returned by June 1 to the address on the form.

Student Vehicle Registration

Automobile registration is mandatory for all vehicles being driven and parked on any University property. Please complete a form for each vehicle to be registered. The registration fee is $80 annually. This fee is billed and collected in the business office. For new students, decals will be provided at Orientation.

Please wait until you have received your housing assignment before filling this form out.

Bicycle Registration Form

If you plan on bringing a bicycle to campus, filling out this form will help us identify it in case it is lost or stolen.

Please wait to fill this out until you receive your housing assignment.

To complete the registration, you MUST bring your bike to security to have it photographed.

Housing Assignment Profile

This information is important in assigning roommate preferences. Please take time to sit down and think critically about the type of person you want to live with for your first year at St. Lawrence. What are your likes and dislikes? What are you looking for in a roommate? (See question 10.) To give us the maximum potential for assigning you a compatible roommate, please be honest and thorough when answering these questions.
