Students are introduced to the Hindu religious tradition as found on the Indian sub-continent. The course takes an historical approach to investigate the emergence of Hindu spirituality since its beginnings to the present time. Since the Indian culture exerted immense influence on the cultures of SE Asia, Hindu values are also present in the traditions of Thailand. The course is roughly divided into three periods: ancient, medieval and modern.
