Lorenzo de Medici Introduction

For more than 30 years of existence, Lorenzo de' Medici (LDM) has gained great recognition in Italy and become known as the country's most distinctive and established study abroad institution. Students can choose from over than 500 different courses in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, International Business, Economics, Political Science, Performing Arts and Italian Language and Culture.

Lorenzo de Medici campuses available to St. Lawrence students include: Rome, and Tuscania. These programs are recent, but already well established programs which provide the opportunity for students to study abroad in multiple locations and truly experience different aspects of Italy. The different campuses augment already-expansive offerings and appeal to students of many different backgrounds, interests, experiences, and motivations.

Eligibility: Admission to this program is based on the quality of application. Students must be a sophomore, junior or senior to qualify.  Candidates must present a coherent academic rationale for participation in Lorenzo d Medici and a record of academic performance that demonstrates ability to meet the challenges of off-campus study. Candidates for Lorenzo de Medici must also present evidence of maturity, responsibility and cultural sensitivity.  LDM has a strict GPA requirement of 2.8.  Students with a lower GPA will NOT be considered for this program.  

Pre-requisites: Students must have taken at least one semester of college level Italian in order to qualify for the Program.
