Swahili

SWAH 101 (elementary), or SWAH 102 (elementary second semester), or SWAH 103 (intermediate), or SWAH 104 (intermediate second semester), or SWAH 201, or SWAH 202 (advanced) 1 unit, 3.6 credits

Students learn Swahili, the dominant language in East Africa, in small groups organized according to their background and experience in the language to help them develop the ability to engage in some dialogue as early as possible. The Swahili courses are taught by instructors from Hekima Language Services.
