Jordan Eligibility
Studying in Jordan is an opportunity open to sophomore,
junior and senior students with appropriate academic preparation, motivation,
and an interest in the Middle East.
Prerequisite: a course on campus that has significant
content related to the Middle East and provides relevant background for this
program.
Admission to the program is based on the quality of
application. Candidates must present a coherent academic rationale for
participation in the Jordan Program and a record of academic performance that
demonstrates ability to meet the challenges of off-campus study. Students must
have at least a 3.0 GPA. This is a requirement of Amideast.
Students currently on disciplinary, social, or academic
probation are not eligible to apply for, or participate in, this program or any
other SLU program. In addition, students with outstanding disciplinary fines,
service hours and/or education program requirements are not eligible to
participate in the program.
