France Program Costs
Students participating in the France Program pay regular St. Lawrence University comprehensive fees. The comprehensive fee covers tuition, room and board with the homestay families, arrival transportation from Paris to Rouen, The Senegal excursion - including the flight to Senegal, and program-integrated field components.
If you receive financial aid, your normal financial aid is applied. Contact the Financial Aid Office if you would like information about additional loans for extra costs associated with studying on this program.
The fee does not cover:
transportation to the France. An Airfare Assistance form will be available online upon acceptance to the program. Students must currently be on financial aid to qualify. In most cases, students must pay the first $750 of the airfare.
passport fees
visa fees
immunizations required for travel to Senegal
books
transportation within and outside of Rouen
Please note that France is very expensive, as is all of Europe today. See Money Matters for more details.
A non-refundable first payment of $500 is to be made upon acceptance. The remaining sum must be paid upon receipt of bills from St. Lawrence University. Participants in a program will have incurred responsibility for the full cost once they have formally accepted enrollment. Refunds will be made in accordance with the policy outlined in the St. Lawrence catalog, less any money that has been paid out on behalf of the student.
