Costa Rica is known for its natural beauty, diversity of flora and fauna, social and political stability, high educational levels and its motto of living "pura vida."
- Fall (early-July to mid-Dec) or spring semester (late-Jan to mid-July)
- Courses taught in Spanish
- Transportation to Costa Rica included
- Month-long orientation course in San José
- Direct enrollment in Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR)
- Prerequisite of 5 semesters of college Spanish or the equivalent
- Affiliated with the University of Kansas
- Open to all majors who have taken appropriate level of Spanish
- Live with local families
