Students are housed at Caribbean Lodge, a guest house within walking distance of the UWI campus. Breakfasts and dinners are provided Monday - Friday at the Lodge. Students will be rebated a proportion of the board fee to cover the cost of lunches and weekend meals. Students have their own kitchen and a lounge with T.V. and VCR.
As part of orientation, each student spends a few days at the beginning of
the semester with a Trinidadian host family which provides an introduction
to local etiquette. Students also spend one week in beach cottages on Tobago
to study the rainforest, bird sanctuaries, and the socio-economic reality of
this small island.
