Students are required to participate in all orientation activities - on campus and in
Florence. In addition, students can participate in the orientation program offered
on the Syracuse University campus. Acceptance materials - including financial
information, flight information and costs, visa information, and various forms
that must be filled out and returned to Syracuse University - are sent to students
if they cannot attend the Syracuse orientation meeting.
During the on-campus orientation meetings, the faculty coordinator meets with the participants to answer questions about the program and to help students correctly fill out the Syracuse forms. There is also an on-campus orientation meeting for all students participating in off-campus programs. There is an orientation in Florence at the beginning of the semester to acquaint students with the area and the program.
